Specific trainings of candidates and beneficiaries of the Operational Programme "Innovation and Competitiveness 2014-2020"

Project Objective:

The main objective of the projects is to perform an overall analysis of the training needs of applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020, to develop training curricula for conducting specific trainings with regards to the established specific needs for building project preparation and implementation skills, as well as to ensure lecturers who have the necessary qualifications and professional experience needed for conducting the trainings for the OPIC target groups.


The specific objectives of the project include:

  • Specific objective 1: To provide support to the Managing Authority of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020 for strengthening the capacity of applicants and beneficiaries of OPIC for participation in the implementation of the programme and the more effective utilisation of its financial resources.
  • Specific objective 2: To perform a needs analysis for the specific trainings of applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020, taking into account the characteristics of the individual target groups of the programme and to establish their specific needs and necessities for strengthening the project preparation and implementation skills under this programme.
  • Specific objective 3: To develop training programmes for conducting trainings for applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020, based on the established needs for building project preparation and implementation skills.
  • Specific objective 4: To provide lecturers with the necessary qualifications and professional experience and to ensure the trainings for applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovation and competitiveness” 2014-2020 based on the developed training programmes.


The target group of the project includes 3,000 representatives of:

  • Enterprises – micro, small, medium and large enterprises;
  • Non-profit legal entities, incl. associations and business unions, organisations and institutions related to the implementation of activities and provision of services in support of the business and the improvement of the business environment, SME organisations, local initiative groups, scientific, educational centres and institutions;
  • Other organisations – higher education and research institutions and other organisations;
  • Institutional beneficiaries – administrative structures and other institutions.


The main activities of the project are:

Activity 1: Performing a needs analysis for specific trainings of applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020, development of an Indicative plan – schedule and training programmes for conducting the trainings based on the established needs and necessities for strengthening the project preparation and implementation skills for OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020. This activity includes the following sub-activities:

  • Sub-activity 1. Analysis of the needs for specific trainings of the applicants and beneficiaries of OPIC
  • Sub-activity 2. Development of an Indicative plan – schedule and training programmes for conducting specific trainings for applicants and beneficiaries of OPIC

Activity 2. Conducting specific trainings for applicants and beneficiaries of OPIC. This activity includes the following sub-activities:

  • Sub-activity 1. Notification in electronic and print media regarding the conduction of each training.
  • Sub-activity 2. Enrolment of participants for each specific training (for the OPIC beneficiaries, the participants contacts will be provided by the Contracting Authority) and sending invitations to the participants together with a registration form for confirming participation in the relevant training;
  • Sub-activity 3. Preparation of lecture materials for all training participants;
  • Sub-activity 4. Ensuring the provision of lecturers with suitable qualifications and professional experience and conducting the trainings;
  • Sub-activity 5. Assessment of the effectiveness of the conducted trainings and the degree of satisfaction of the participants.


Results of the implementation of the contract:

  • Completed analysis and established needs for specific trainings of the applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020;
  • Developed training programmes, based on the results of the analysis carried out and the established needs for training of the main target groups of the operational programme;
  • Ensured conduction  of specific trainings for the applicants and beneficiaries of OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020, lecturers provided to conduct the trainings, training materials prepared for the participants in the trainings, methods elaborated for the assessment of the effectiveness of the conducted trainings and the degree of satisfaction of the participants;
  • Ninety conducted trainings for representatives of the target groups;
  • Three thousand applicants and beneficiaries trained on OP “Innovations and competitiveness” 2014-2020.
